Thanks, it's from a pattern. The brocade was not the easiest fabric to work with. It's one of those fabrics that makes using a serger a necessity.

Fabulous! And she looks like a lady instead of a trollop like so many of the girls do at prom, now. I can't believe the things their mothers let them wear!

Absolutely gorgeous, I never made a prom dress, all other clothing, just not a fancy one. I bet your DD was beautiful in it. We have a Grandson graduating in June, then off to college, he isn't sure what he wants to be.
