Default sew on velcro application question

I am putting pockets on bags.

Does the soft of side of the velcro go on the pocket or the bag?

I don't think it matters much , but I typically put the loop side on the bottom and the hook side on top.

I don't think it matters either as long as it on. most of the things I've seen it on has the fuzzy side (loop side) on the body and the hook (rough side) on the flap.

FYI...The fuzzy will wear out over time, so put it where it can easily be replaced.

I like to put the fuzzy soft side where my hand is going to be in contact with it. The hook side is really scratchy if the back of your hand rubs on it so I would say hooks on the bag.

My experience has always been for the hook side to wear out first.
