I noticed that some of our members say they do not put up Christmas trees anymore for whatever reason, and some of us celebrate different holidays, so I thought it might be fun to post pictures of our individual holiday celebration decorating.

For years, I put up a real cut tree, because that is what my children wanted. Now that they are grown, I finally got the white artificial tree (with 'pine tree' scent hanger hidden, it just isn't Christmas without that smell, lol!) that I always wanted. The good news, is that they now have the lights attached to the tree, so no strings to fight with. The first picture is the tree all lit up, with a little black blur at the lower left(that would be Bruno). The second photo shows the bead strings I use instead of tinsel, and the plastic cat (and dog) proof ornaments. Merry Christmas to all of you from DH and I. (and Bruno, Miss Kitty, Greda, and Yukon King too!)

very pretty... and a great idea of how to hang the beads instead of draping a long string

That is a neat tree.

Cool idea on bead garland hanging. I plan to string dried mini marshmallows for a garland but perhaps I will change it to be icicles like you have done.

If I used mini marshmallows on my tree, My dog King would eat the tree! Lol!

He might Actually, I have had my mini marshmallows drying on a cookie sheet for several weeks so they might not appeal to an animal. Can't test that since our animals are all outdoors... chickens, dog and barn cats!
