Default Shipshewana quilt show

I was wondering if anyone went to the quilt show in Shipshewana last weekend. I was surprised that they didn't have a raffle quilt. I've went to a few shows and they always have a raffle quilt. Just was wondering if they do things different in Indiana. Did you get license plates from some of the quilt shops in the area? Have a great day.

I was there with a bus load of guild members. It was a very nice show...fabulous quilts. I have a lonnnnggg way to go before I get even close to making anything like them. It probably will never happen. I remember the area before it became so touristy, as our farm was 10 miles north in Michigan. (From the turnpike). My sister used to buy stock at the auction barn and eat pie at the auction restaurant. It was a peaceful place back in the day.

I went & enjoyed the quilts & vendors. One vendor had patterns for quilts using fabric yo-yos as embellishments. yo-yos are my favorite to make & has been for a few years. All the quilts were fabulous. Didn't get the liscense plates. Our camping group usually goes to quilt & fabric shops in the area at least once a year. We are going back to Shipshewana next week.

That vendor with the yo-yo patterns was so great! All of her designs were darling! musicalstorytelling I need to join your camping group, we were camping during the show but half of the gals did not sew so they didn't really want to traipse all over northern Indiana just to look at fabric - what is wrong with those girls??? LOL
