Since yours is AC - it's a double letter prefix: http://www.singerco.com/support/mach.../double-letter

According to that link it was built in 1928, in the Elizabeth, NJ factory. it's a 127, and there were 10,000 made

The Egyptian decals were super popular with the discovery of King Tuts tomb. :)

Looks like the tredle version of mine.

Send these pictures to Jay Reynolds, he's been in singer machines for years.

I made my first doll clothes on a treadle much like that. It was my grandmother's. That one is a beauty for sure.

According to that link it was built in 1928, in the Elizabeth, NJ factory. it's a 127, and there were 10,000 made

Slight correction - there were 10,000 model 127s allotted on a particular date in 1928. There were many more of the same model 127 allotted on other dates & years.
The allottment date & year does NOT mean there were ONLY that many made ever, just that production of that many model 127s was started in 1928, then the company would "allot" another model for a few months, then go back to production of more 127s or whatever was being sold more at the particular time.
If you go to the site mentioned and scroll down, you'll see other dates/years when production was resumed for any given Singer model - most likely based on what people were buying most.
Fun to know when your machine was produced, isn't it?

I was helping DD to move today and she has DMIL's treadle. It is a coffin top and has decals just like this one!! I'll have to ask her for the serial number (when she gets rested, lol) Does anyone know where to get replacement handles for the cabinet? 2 are missing on hers.
