Ski 'accident' panel/pillow
A woman I know had a serious ski accident at the beginning of the season. Nearly shattered 1 leg, broken arm, many pins, plates & screws to put her back together. Now that she is getting out a little besides the Dr visit, I would like to make a pillow for her. Do you know of any panels that would have either a skier in a snow bank or something like that?

Try bugfabric.com and search on winter sports. May not be an accident, but there are some about skiing. Honestly, if it were me, I'd probably want to be reminded about the good things of the sport anyway.

I agree with Prism, I don't think I would want to be reminded of the accident but maybe she still has a love for the sport if she is even able to do so. Fabric.com has this cute fabric with skis on it

I would just do an applique scene. Doth top half of the block blue and the bottom half white. Applique a snow pile and then applique a couple of skis sticking out of the top at angles. You could also applique a hat and mittens if you wanted.

Tartan, I like this idea! I could date it 2016 & do a skier(s) on the other & date it 2017. I know she loves skiing & will try very hard to get back to it. Thank you for the other ideas. May use some of the sites for the fabric. Thanks again.

I agree totally. I had a serious accident three years ago shattering the socket for my hip bone and rammed on into the pelvic. It took months before I even wanted to see what had caused my accident. Something happy and uplifting would have been what I would have wanted, but I don't know your friend.
