I'm just east of Dallas/Ft Worth & we're expecting 1/2" to 1" of ice tonight thru tomorrow morning. Right now the Metroplex has @ 1/10" of ice on the roads. Sure glad schools out this week, so GS's bus won't have to be out in this stuff. Good thing my studio is only 20 feet from my back door, so don't have to go anywhere!

You all have my deepest sympathy for the weather over there. It was 31 degrees Celsius here today. (That's 87.8F)
We had 2 thunder storms this afternoon. We've been having them most afternoons lately. We don't get snow or sleet here but then it is called the Sunshine state.

We've had nights in the high 20's to low 30's with day time temps in the high 40's. Not cold for some regions but for ours it's early to be so cold.

Sunny, but cold here in central MN. It's 11 degrees right now and breezy. I don't know what the wind chill temperature is and probably don't want to know. I still have leaves on the grass, which I'm waiting for hopefully, some warmer temps. to deal with and get off the lawn before we have snow that lasts. Our first couple of inches was in Oct. before hardly any leaves had fallen.

In Western Massachusetts last night, it snowed the first snow of the year and the wind blew so hard that I could feel the cold air licking at my skin inside the house. This morning the roads were icy and it is now the day's high of 26 degrees F. The wind is still bad, not as bad, but I can feel the cold air coming in through the air conditioner. It was left on the window because the birds have a nest under it, and if we took it in now, they would die. Maybe I'll make an interior cover for it.

We reeceived 6+ inches of snow and rain (depending on where one is at) on the Western Slope of CO. The mountains received 8+ inches of snow and rain. Flakes were huge Friday night, then on Saturday we woke up to snow plus power outages and the transformer is right down the street from us...
Amazing how people forget to drive in snow and ice ..

I had snow yesterday afternoon, all night and a little this morning but it didn't even add up to an inch. It was cold 21 with a wind chill of 8 and I did shovel my driveway

How in the world do you all deal with such cold weather? You're making me feel bad because it is 60 degrees and sunny here. Yesterday we hit 70. We had our first rain in six months last week. It was only for 2 days. It is almost the end of November and I still haven't worn a coat. Yikes, I need to stop and count my blessings.

Believe it or not it was worse when I lived in NH. Almost the only time I wear a winter coat is when I am shovelling. Most times it's a turtleneck and a heavy sweatshirt.
