I am half asleep this morning, so I missed seeing the picture of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Did you make those? I have to start a set for my DGD Zoe. My DS was distressed when we had to get rid of the Andy I made for him many years ago, got left in the basement, so he was not in great shape and it didn't come out in the wash. Have a great day.

As they say, what a difference a day makes. I am in NW NJ and it is terrible out there. 12 inches of snow; trees broken all over; no power. What a disaster. My yard is strewn with all kinds of limbs and debris. I shook off my bushes to try to save them. I am alone and going to have to get help in here to fix this mess.

Here in Nj we got walloped. I live in a small town with lots of old trees. We have sustained mucho mucho damage! There's hardly a block without downed limbs or trees. The large old maples couldn't hold both the wet snow and the leaves, so down they came.

We live in Central Pennsylvania. The snow started about 9 a.m. and did not quit until 5 p.m. The snow was extremely heavy and wet and broke two limbs of our California Redwood and Tiger's Eye Pine (my two favorite trees in our yard). I had gone out with my broom and tried to knock or brush some off (22 trees), took be about 1-1/2 hour. (Unfortunately, DH had falled on Friday and has a badly sprained ankle. He is still hobbling.) I was soaked to the skin, could actually wring my gloves, my jeans soaked from jacket down. We were with power for five hours (no football, no quilting, no hot tea). We got about 8".
The bad thing about the weight of the snow, is that the trees have not dropped their leaves. Many of our farmers have corn standing waiting for the kernels to dry enough to be harvested (for animal feed). If taken in too soon they will mold. Today we are melting.
