If it is metal, use a magnet, that is what they do for metal shavings in the eye, worth a try if you have a strong magnet.

My Mom had a "drawing" salve that she used to get splinters out of my foot when I was a teenager. The name is Ichtamol and I could be off in my spelling of it. I bought some for myself a few years ago when I thought I had some trash in my kneecap from a fall I took. It should be available still. It is wonderful for "drawing" something out that is buried deep. I hope you can find this and it helps.

If you can feel it on the surface as you scrape across it but can't see it, try using a piece of duct tape. Works great for prickly pear spines and small stickers. If it is something stuck in your foot, you might try painting it with something to color the area to see better (we use iodine. the colored not the clear stuff). If all that has failed, we use something called Iodex which looks nasty but works great. If it keeps bothering you have someone else with a magnifying glass take a look. Nothing more irritating to have something stuck in your foot or hand.

I hope one of these ideas help. The duct tape idea we used a summer camp when a camper fell into a prickly pear cactus and was covered from ankle to shoulder. We started with tweezers, but wow, what a job. We felt so sorry for the poor kid that we made a special award for him. Not just anyone gets to be named the "Cactus Kid" complete with badge and certificate from Camp Walkalot.
