Sunday the Patriot Guard Riders of NC were invited to a special service for 9-11. We were honored to have a retired firefighter to speak and tell of some of his experiences helping the families of his fallen brothers. Although he had aready retired, he stood by each of the families for support, there were eight out of his company that lost their life. I made a wall hanging using a cheater panel, (CHRIST kneeing at the rock, praying), and embr. his company name and date in a fireman shield, and sewed it on the right bottom corner. After the minister gave him the quilt, and he got though talking, he stated that as much as he appreciated the gift, he wanted the other firefighters to enjoy it too, so he is going to take it to NY and hang it in the firehouse. That made me feel good to know it will go and others can get comfort from it. I am going to emb. the names of the fallen ones and send it to him and he will have it sewn on the quilt. Thanks for reading. GOD bless our military and other service people.

What a precious gift you gave! I am sure the NYFD will appreciate it more than you will ever know.
