I purchased the Shark Steam Pocket Mop, it's quiet, does a great job, easy to handle. It comes with 2 heads a triangle one and a rectangle one. The floors dry pretty fast. It also has 3 different steam settings.

I had the Shark Steam Mop and it lasted about a year. I bought an Oreck Steam Mop and it is great. Puts the Shark to shame.

I can speak for the other brands but I have owned a Shark for about 4 years with no problems.

I don't have the newest Shark, but the one I have does an okay job for a quick clean up.

Do any of these steam mops steam loose the soil in the little 'dimples' of vinyl flooring?

The longer I use my Oreck - the better it is getting - I guess I expected instant change - but it takes a while - afterall it did not get there in a day either - I've had mine for about a year now - mainly cause of back problems and it has saved my back versus the old scrub mops...

My daughterinlaw has teh Shark she got at Sam's Club and loves it - her floors look terrific, but she also has new linoleums but she does day care - after lunch, if there are spills, she gets out the steam mop while the kids go down for their naps, or quiet time - and her floor is back to sparkling clean. Hers came with a triangle tip - which is a lifesaver - mine did not - so wish I had it for mine too - but have not had time to check to see if there are attachments for mine like that - I got lots of little brushes that help to seam a grill or things that you need to get in and around crevices.
