Default suggestions on serger carrier

First off, I mainly am looking for something that will protect the serger, but also is something that is fairly easy to carry. I would prefer to not go much above $25-30 each. I have looked at online and pondered:

1. Hard Sewing Machine Case-- Brother 5300 for about $10
2. Duffle/Overnight/Weekender Bag
3.Serger Tote Bag--$25 on Amazon
4.Various Tool Bags--including a wheeled one at Harbor Freight
5.Make my own Tote/Bag

Any suggestions from the above list? Anybody ever make a tote/bag for their serger?--If so, which pattern did you use? Anybody use the Wheeled Tool Bag from Harbor Freight for your serger?

I'm not interested in a Tutto or anything pricey--these are older sergers that just won't die, and I want something where I can take them to quilt group(my newer serger stays home). I'm tired of carrying them around in a box!! Looking for something with at least a handle of some kind!!

Help! And thank you in advance for your wisdom and suggestions!!

What about going to a Thrift Store to look at the used suitcases?

Take your measurements to check out the possibilities.
Take your serger, and leave it in the car.
Then you think one is a match, ask to bring it into the store to try it out.

i use an insulated ice chest...works well for me...I don't take it many places so didn't want to have a big investment...besides, it was in the closet and handy.

I had trouble getting my Viking 6430 into its case, so I designed one with those options important to me. It wasn't hard to do. I found a bag pattern I liked and made the changes I needed. There are lots of free patterns that could be altered to your specifications.

I keep my cover stitch machine in a collapsible rolling crate with a lid. It's similar to this one:

There's room in the crate for the machine, the manual, accessories and some additional serger cones.

I use the same as DonnaC, purchased at Sam's Club and love how strong and convenient it is. When I had my serger cleaned the tech commented on how nifty my carrier was!
