Our Grson had an Army graduation this wk.
His parents attended & then they left for home in NC.They stopped for lunch in Northern NC,just a few miles from home & ppl started standing up & clapping.DD asked a waitress what's going on? & she said, they're clapping for this young man in the dress uniform!
DD had to put her sun glasses on,as she was tearing up.Said they had a lot of ppl come to their table & shake his hand & give him their best wishes.
Thank you.It was so appreciated.

I'm tearing up just reading this. I'm very happy this nation seems to have learned from mistakes of the past regarding how we treat our service men/women. I hope he got a free lunch as well as the applause :)
