Default Thanks to ou moderators, and a little request

I'm often reminded of what a great job is done by the moderators on this board. Without them this would not be nearly as good a site as it is, and they seem to be hard at work 24-7 to keep things safe and happy around here.

Now for my little request, if it's not too much trouble: When you take down a thread for whatever reason, would it be possible to also remove the link from the digest page? There were so many of them lately that led to "black holes" that I finally started to wonder why we're seeing them at all. Not only that, but when I see the link, I'm also seeing the handle of the person whose thread was banished, so it almost seems a bit like public shaming, even though I know most of the time it wasn't because of anything horrible, just little mistakes or misunderstandings about what is appropriate where, or perhaps even more related to the way other people responded. Speculation is often worse than what was removed, perhaps.

    Thanks for all you do!

the moderators do a great job.
the mods and I are all are volunteers.
    we do appreciate the compliments.
    thanks, very much!

unfortunately, the digest page does not update itself.
i'm afraid that will never change.
it's one of the many reasons i consistently recommend people not rely on the digest.

we don't ban people for "just little mistakes or misunderstandings."
if a person gets banned, they deserved it.
in most cases, the member has been warned - privately - more than once.
in many cases, the person took out a membership for the sole purpose of advertising their product(s) or service(s).
they didn't bother reading our rules first.
so, if a person gets banned, i couldn't care less if they are embarrassed.

speculation and gossip are personal choices over which i have no control.
(let me be completely honest here. i have a hard enough time controlling my own inclinations in this regard. i assure you I am not speaking from a perch on a high horse.)
