Thanks Texas!!
A while back I mentioned in a thread I started about unclaimed monies. Well I received my last one the other day, from the great state of Texas. I had $200.00 waiting for me to claim. So about 5 months ago I sent in a claim for it. We considered it mad money, so my husband said to spend the whole thing on me! My first check was from Florida for $295.00 and I bought my Kitchen-aid stand mixer with it and some other goodies. And this check I got two more attachments for my mixer, some goodies from Joann's and some clothes from Lane Bryant.
I didn't post what I got in the way of clothes. I got 3 new shirts and some unmentionables.
So Ladies and Gentlemen......check the unclaimed property department of any states and your current one to see if you have any.

Several years ago I was "let go" by a guy who didn't like the fact I knew he was doing illegal things...City manager in a small city.....when budget came around he cut my position due to budget reasons, yeah right,...then, although knowing my home address, he sent monies that the city owed me to the State of Texas....I had no idea where this came from either.
So I filed when checking the fund info.....I had $1500 in Austin...glad I looked, and shame on the city for not sending it to me in the first place. Then I got a notice from the city that they had inadvertently included my social security number on a vendor request for proposal link on the city website! I thought about calling the IRS on what I know.....but I need references in my job search.
