Me too in a sandwich. I haven't had one of those since I was a kid. My oldest brother Bryan and I used to sit on the back steps and eat leftover white rice with sugar and milk. Was it ever yummy.

Tomato and pineapple - ick! I actually saw some recipe that had that combination, and I could read no further.

Sorry-but these go together if you are 5 years old, you and your siblings get hold of the Sunbeam bread package, the butter sitting on the chrome-legged table and the silver tinned sugar canister while your mom is sipping her glass bottle of Pepsi and gabbing with the neighbors. I still remember how good it tasted!! Fourteen years later when I lived on my own and it was a couple days before payday, the butter and light sprinkling of sugar sandwiches tasted good. As good as dill pickle and peanut butter sandwiches.

My two choices would be snow in an ice cream cone.

[QUOTE=Quilter Day-by-Day;5580127]butter and sugar sandwich[/QUOTE Oh, I remember my grandmother making butter and sugar sandwiches for us when we were kids...I loved them. I actually made myself a half of one a while back just to remember the taste...LOL I personally can't stand drinking coffee and eating a peanut butter sandwich

About that bread, butter and sugar sandwich. My grandmother used to give me that. Is it a wonder I am somewhat of a sugar addict. Best I remember it was really good.
