i know what you mean...when the kids were young, people used to say to me, what patience i had to make a quilt, and i used to tell them making quilts gave me patience!

The year I made Christmas kitchen curtains(do not use any longer) my hubby tried to lay down the law. that since I had invaded the kitchen with decorations, that there would be NO Decorations in the Bathroom......needless to say when he came home the next day from work, there was a red vinyl shower curtain with holly on the curtain rod...a wreath on the window, red towels, a 18" decorated tree on the tank top....
He no longer makes comments except to say that the decorations look nice........
