If it's greasy grim....original blue Dawn and Wd40 will cut through it nicely...
1. spray with WD40
2. Wash with Dawn and very hot water.

I was a Tupperware consultant for many years....Concetration of bleach and dawn also for discolored pieces.

I agree with all above except the WD40 one....I've just never tried that so can't recommend it.

BUT, if you decide you want to sell those, I'll buy them!!! I LOVE the Tupperware measuring cups.......they have 2/3 and 3/4 cup in the set.

The TSP in Cascade is wonderful for stain removal. Not all dishwasher detergents have it. I have used it to clean out old coffee pots and it works like a charm. Had an old electric percolator that belonged to my grandmother, never been cleaned out, other than hand washing. Developed a nasty stain inside. Since I'm not a coffe drinker, I was wanting to use the pot to heat water. Running a perc. cycle with about a tablespoon of Cascade to clean it was just the ticket. Also soak the hot tub filters in a bucket with Cascade in it. Blah, blah, blah, after all of that, my point is, Cascade and the dishwasher should do it. (I feel as if I just presented an infomercial for Cascade!

NEVER combine Dawn and household bleach!!!!
It causes a gas that can't be always be seen, but can make you very sick!!! You can mistake the gas for the steam of the hot water!!! What ever is in Dawn to cut the grease, does NOT mix with bleach!!! We mixed it once and could SEE the gas come up out of the bucket. We called the company and they said to NEVER mix the two!!!!!

Oh, I didn't mean to mix the two.... Use the bleach to get the stain out... rinse and then use dawn to wash as usual.
NO.... Never mix Bleach and Dawn.... Or Bleach and any other cleaner....

Thanks, Amma and Leota -- I knew about not mixing bleach with anything, ever. Glad that you reminded everyone!

I put them in the dishwasher, without much improvement, so I'll try the bleach trick and report back. :)
