My daughter and her family live in Dallas. They have been home all week. Finally yesterday the kid's other grandparents came over to help with the 3 year old and 6 year old so my daughter and son-in-law can get some work done. She said the kids are as happy as they were Christmas week.

This week has been crazy. Work closed Tuesday, (paid time off thank you BOA) tried to go to work Wednesday, slid into ditch (only thing hurt was my wallet), worked Thursday, got up super early this morning, drove to work to find once again closed. Tomorrow we shall see.

I can't remember a time when so many states have been impacted by extreme weather all at the same time. The satellite photos of the storm that hit much of the country last week were amazing. I've been reading also about the extremely cold temps in Arizona. Our weather here in Iowa hasn't been all that unusual for us - but my heart goes out to you in the south! BRRRR!
