I did Tole painting 20 years ago and loved it. I had all sorts of books with patterns too. i quit doing Tole painting when i took up quilting. i finally cleaned out everything. i didn't test my old paints, just tossed them. I hated to, but i was only able to get someone at the Senior's Center to take all my books. i would think the paints were too old.

little stool I still have and cookie jar lid

I used to tole paint. I have a hanger that is especially for them which hangs on the door. I keep my paints upside down so the air can't get into them. They are still fine.
