Thanks for the trip Terri! Brought back lots of memories from when my sister lived off the coast of Brisbane & I got to visit. I loved the ride down the Brisbane river, so many cool buildings to see.

Yes, the purple trees are Jacaranda trees. Like Jim's Gem said, they are beautiful when they are flowering, but messy. They line the street where I work.

Thanks again for sharing your trip with us. :D

Thanks for meeting me again Terri! I havent been to Lone Pine before but it would definitely be something I would love to do in the future! The photos from the Blue Mountains are stunning! I also want to see the photos of the fabric you bought when you were at Leura!

Lisa....I have no clue who he is. Ask JB if the guy sings or whatever. Courtney did get his e-mail to give to MWR (morale/welfare/recreation for the Navy) to see if they can get him out here. Talking to them, they said they have been to the desert numerous times, so I think they would love to come here to do something for the troops on the island. We don't get many shows, so this could be something good...maybe.

Yes, Jacaranda is the name. I knew I knew it, but just couldn't remember.

Yes, I bought fabric and a TON of magazines. They sell them in 3packs for $8.99AU, which is almost $10US. Not a bad price and I bought ALL I could find! Hubby wasn't too happy lol

I'll get pics of those and the fabric posted soon.

thanks for posting pics of "our" vacation. I love going with you. Next time, a ticket would be nice so I can see it in person. :)

The only sad part is- now I have another destination to add to my "someplace" I want to go. Such memories you're making- sigh.......

    Thanks for sharing!!!!
