It depends on which web browser for exact instructions.
For the latest version of FireFox this explains it: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/...ear+cache&as=s

They are all going to have similar ways. File, tools or options, clear cache. FireFox was a little more complicated than IE for me to figure out.

That's exactly why - if there's anything strange in the code FF probably won't render it the way the designer wanted. Chrome is the same way.
