Update to cost of framing pictures
#12
my daughter did a painting for me a few years ago so I bought a frame at Michael's to put it in, but needed to add a wire to hang it so I went back to Michael's and was asking the framer some questions about what to use and when he asked what size, etc I said I'll show you. I bought the frame here, I picked up the frame and took it to his table and he said if I bought the frame there just bring in the receipt and he'd put it together for me. I did and he put it in the frame put backing paper on it and put on the eye screws and wire-no charge! Oh it was a simple painted wood frame for a standard size canvas, about $12.

Custom framing is expensive but the results can be amazing. Keep in mind that the shops have to stock a lot of mats, etc. i have had a lot of pictures custom framed due to the shape and size of the project. They were not stock sized pictures.
