These r the 2 machines I posted looking for infor.

The first is a Vikink model 602

The second I have 2 of. Singer

Im also needing a bood is anyone has one and would make a copy.

Your singer looks like it is a straight stitche slant needle machine model # 404. That is a good machine.

I don't have that flip switch on the bed of my 301A....I wonder why? What does that switch do? You both have it..hmmmm

It's called a needle plate adjuster in the manual. It moves the needleplate instead of actually lowering the feeddogs like modern machines. At least that's how I remember my mother using it. I haven't used the machine in ages so I've forgotten.
