Our WM has only fabric pkgs, and very little of those, and nothing exciting. Hancock in Norman is blah, OKC is great, also have now started going to little shops to shop and am meeting lots of nice people. They are nice people at our WM but they are not carrying a great amount of groceries any more or a good variety of brands, they were almost out of blackeye peas at 1pm today. One 4th they ran out of pork-n-beans, every hear of such a thing.

One of the ladies in my guild has a husband that works at Wal-mart. She was telling us that the manager had said that as long as she has a say, our fabric department will stay. I hope so because more often than not I am surprised by the quality I find there. Often times it is comparable to LQS's and all I have without having to go out of my way.

Our Walmart was out of sweet potatoes (canned) for Thanksgiving. Soooo...much to dad's delight...we had fresh sweet potatoes. Turned out to be a good thing, but yeah, the selection at walmart isn't what it used to be. Our grocery store is always a madhouse though!...what to do, what to do.... Happy New Year!

I hate WM. They took out our fabric department and now they have that pkg stuff. Never what you need and cost is high. We have a WM about 10mins from us and we have decided to drive 1 hr and 30mins to a Reasors food to buy food, and I can go fabric shopping at 3 or 4 different places if I choose.I think that WM's put out the mom and pop fabric shops in town and then they take out there own fabric department.

DD and I am noticing our new super wal mart is wanting to sell only great value brands and bulk items. Seems it has a big variety of pet products, just not very many of each items. DD still has two boys at home and wants to save money otherwise I would go to target or kmart. We have one wal mart around us that still sells fabric, when the build the super store they will not carry fabrics anymore. The closest fabric store is about 20-40 minutes away.

Happy New Year.

Our WM has really cut back on the fabric that they carry, but at least they still have some.
