Got a nice little surprise yesterday! Hubby works at walmart and he got his discount card and i got one too! yea haw! there are few walmarts around 30 minutes away that sell fabric, patterns, batting, thread, etc. !!!!

Good for you! I just picked up about 5-6 patterns from walmart this morning. The June pattern of the month, a patriotic one and at least 4 childrens. Snow White, princesses and a few more. The pellon was only 3.97 ayd so it's great even without a discount!

Hubby works at walmart and yesterday got his discount card. I got one too! Good for pretty much everything except food and clearance items but i know there are still a couple of walmarts within a 1/2 drive that sell fabric, batting, thread, etc. I am so excited to be able to save some money on sewing stuff!

I cant work at WM because my whole pay check would go to fabric department there.

i hear you on that one! i figure it will be worth it for basics plus i have never had problems with the fabric there. i made a rag quilt with flannel from there for the backing. the front was flannel from joann's. i actually preferred the walmart fabric!
