Wanna see what happens when you plant strawberries???

I had heard they were hard to grow. I put 2 plants in last year to "fill" out my little side garden. This year, they have taken over. I have to admit they are delicious. I might try to move them to their own spot so I can have my rose, toad and butterfly garden back!

Hmm, hmm, looking good. Love fresh strawberries. We had that happen with pumpkins one year - threw them over the porch steps and the next year I was growing pumpkins in the front beds. Never did that again, but it was kind of interesting.

So I very carefully took a stick moved back some of the plants, just what I thought..A big snake,so I havne't picked them for three days,I bribed my hb into picking some today.

good luck getting rid of them
I keep mine confined to one raised bed in the vegetable garden, but am always weeding them out of the flower beds. Like Terri said, they send out runners all over the place.
My DH used to run the lawn mower over them in the fall which keeps them pruned and in control if you have a ground-level garden bed.

Nice green thumb! My husband and I are planting our first strawberry plant this year. He has the green thumb in our household. Once our moonrose bush blooms again, I'll share pictures - GORGEOUS.
