One type of fabric for outdoors is called "Sunbrella" and is ultraviolet resistant. You could also check for remnants from any place that makes awnings or boat covers.

You might want to check out Sunbrella fabric. It is made for outdoor furnishings. You can buy ready made items or the fabric yardage. I am sending you the link to their site where you can learn more, and find out where to buy in Canada.

Yes! Sunbrella is what you want for this project. I think Hancock's carries it and maybe JoAnnes. You can probably find it online as well. There's an outdoor furniture/pottery outlet not far from me that sells it. I don't know the name of the business though. I'm sorry. I'm thinking you might find this type of business online or maybe even in your area. Good luck and let us know what you find and how your project turns out.

I have four different awning fabrics for $4 a yard if you're interested, send me a PM with your email and I'll send photos to you.

Sunbrella is a quality fabric, I agree.

I did do mine a couple years ago with DH help. Got Material at Walmart along time ago and it is like canvas heavy outside material. It is back and seat part that is under the cushion. The swing was riveted and so I use heavy velcroe. that did not work. Had to take it all off and redo it and Dh took the rivets out and drilled holes and he put bolts. This is so I could sew tubs to put the frame through. it work out real good and is very sturdy.

Swing redone
