Our electricity just came back on, it went off this morning. We came through the hurricane just fine, no major damage. A few large tree branches came down, my gardens look miserable - but how lucky are we! There are still 50 MPH winds, the rain has stopped and the temperature is dropping radically. Thank you, each and every one who sent their advice and good wishes. Thanks to all of you, we were well prepared. Thank you again.

Our power was out all day too, no sewing or cooking. I could live without the cooking LOL but no sewing really bugged me. I read a book instead. Glad you are safe. Irene did most of its damage with water around here
