Thanks, Barb, for the tip on how to shut it down. I didn't know that. These hackers come up with something new every day. It's a dark and dirty back alley out there.

What is the reason " they " want to mess up our computers ? What is the satisfaction ? I don't get it. Have a good day.

They don't know how to make quilts, and they need some kind of a hobby....

Heh. There ya go! Great reason.

Several of my posts have disappeared, but maybe I am posting something I am not suppose to post?

Am I still here? Does it say banned by my profile?

My laptop got a new thing about virus protection and, being half asleep at the time, I thought it was something real and clicked on it. Now the laptop is unusable, luckily have an iPad, but I don't know what to do with the laptop. I can't even open scrabble on it!

My DH heard that iPads and iPhones are immune from viruses etc???

Also thanks for the advice about using task manager to close things, I never heard that before.

I think it is not so much that they are immune but they have a different operating system and the majority of hackers are using the windows operating system.

another weird thing, I read the post about Bringing a Tear to my EYE and my computer or what ever put two links in my tool bar at the top of my screen to that posting. I didn't ask for it to do that and had to delete them. Grrrrr.
