We have one dog, a Black Lab/German Short Hair - We call her a Pointer/Lab. She is 8-1/2 years old, getting grey around the gills, hates rain storms, thunder, lightning, fireworks, fire crackers and rabbits! She loves chasing moths, catching them and letting them fly out of her mouth, a little droolie, but none the worse for wear. She is the 84 lb dog that I hugged and prayed with when my husband was going through chemo six years ago. She is my compatriot on my walk, my buddy when I go to the store and my footwarmer in the winter.

Her name is Bess - we call her Miss Bess because she is a diva. She always lets me know if the quilt is good. She lays on it from the time I lay the rows on the floor to when I am binding it. If its not ok, I don't know what she would do. She likes my quilts, I guess.

She is a real sweetheart and my avatar! Edie

4 cats (all rescues), a gerbil, a 40-gallon aquarium ... and ...

51 birds. Yep, 51, including 2 cockatiels, owl finches, shaft-tail finches, spice finches, society finches, zebra finches, and diamond doves.

If you'd like to see them, there are lots of stories and pics in my blog: http://classycastle.blogspot.com/

12 yr. rat terrier and 6 month min pin. But I always have treats in my car for the dogs in town. Our little town has 12 kids and 30 dogs and they all know my car. We have 8 quart feeders for the humming birds on our porch. Also feed the oreoles.

Just 2 kitties for now. MIL is 89 though so we expect we will also have her Siamese Manx eventually.

Teddi (avatar) and her siblings were bottle-fed (by me) from 2 weeks old when they were discovered in the eave of our shop/storage building.

Isla Mae Bird arrived May 2010 from the Humane Society. They called her Birdie as she is a chirper. She is a Siamese Manx mix.
