With Christmas season coming I enjoy rereading Debbie MaComber's angel books. They are three angels (Shirley, Goodness and Mercy) sent down from heaven to help three different people. I laugh at the things they do, the trouble that they get into and yet there is always a message. Otherwise I have been reading Rick Mofina's books - suspense and keeps me wondering what will happen next. I have been involved in alot of sewing for the holiday so have only been reading when I go to bed.

I just finished "Proof of Heaven" by Mary Curran Hackett. It was good!
BUT--what was great is the book called "Stay." I'd have to look up the author. 10/10!!
Both books are firsts by new authors... terrific reads.
n my classroom--we recently finished "Island" by Gordan Korman and the kids LOVED it. They ALL gave it a 10. Now we are reading one of my all time favorite kid's titles--Flush. :-)

Just now finished 'MockingJay' the 3rd and final book of the Hunger Games trilogy. Supposed to be YA novels, and was recommended to me by my grandson. I enjoyed all of them and happy to hear that a movie is in production for the first of the series. (will they put all 3 books into 1 movie??)
Last week I finished the 'Valley of the Horses'.
Gotta mention that I read with my ears ...books on CD while I'm sewing/quilting etc. I feel so guilty if I just sit and read a book, knowing that I have so many things to get done, especially since I spend way too much time on the computer!

I loved the Outlander series. Just finished one last night called Conviction by Patterson. I couldn't quit crying, and I never cry - maybe twice a year. It's about 4 or 5 years old,but so good.

I just finished The Sisters Brothers, a novel of the old West by Patrick DeWitt -- wierd, funny, disturbing
Also Good Harbor, by Anita Diamant (also read her The Red Tent some years ago -- fabulous).
Just found the Elm Creek Quilters series -- I dashed through two of them in three days -- must look for more!
