The beginning of the first book is totally hokey. Give it a few chapters.

But I've been reading mostly non-fiction these days: biographies and history books.
Really, you're the daughter of a Regency romance writer? How fun it must have been growing up with her! I haven't read the genre, so I can't say I know her name. What has she written, and is it still in publication?

I'm an occasional SF reader, though I mainly read mysteries. I also like biographies. What bios and history books have you been reading lately?

Favorite Author: Emily Giffin!
All of her books are easy, quick reads and very entertaining!

She's written close to 40 novels - I don't think any (or many) are still in print at the moment, but Amazon usually has used ones ridiculously cheap. There is talk to republish as ebooks in the near future - trust me, when that happens, EVERYONE will know about it

I've been reading about the Founding Fathers and the Revolutionary War and the wrangling over writing the Constitution. I'm also currently reading "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" (a book about punctuation that 's on my daughter's summer reading list) and it's hilarious.

I'm also reading some books about quilting :P
such as McDowell's "Piecing Workshop" (just finished) and Bonnie Hunter's "Leaders and Enders"
