Default What to do with all those wine corks.....

I made a cork board out of mine.

I did not drink this much wine to get all these corks...LOL
I found several bags at Goodwill, they must have come from restaurants because a lot of them were the same brands.
There wasn't quite enough to completely fill up the space so I doubled up those 12 x 12 cork tiles. And covered those and the frame with fabric. My husband installed it onto the door of my small ironing board cabinet.

It took about a week to finish it. I used Tacky craft glue and raided my husband's shop for his clamps. I did a couple of rows at a time then used boards to help clamp the rows tight and secure while they dried.

Very fun! I could probably provide my own corks..but alot of them now are not actually cork.... So .... what will you pin up on your corkboard? Blocks? Messages? or just leave it for a conversation piece?

That's really neat. There are lots of ideas for what to do with corks on Pinterest. I was amazed.

I've seen corks sold online if anyone wants to do a project with them. Unfortunately, my vertical surfaces get just as cluttered in no time at all as my horizontal surfaces.

I made a hat beehive from corks and made little bees with corks and attached them on wire so they were flying about the hive. Than added fabric flowers to it. This was entered in a Relay For Life Hat Contest. Guess what ,they didn't have the contest, but so many people took pictures of the hat and sent them to the head director that we won. My daughter was so happy after I had put so much work into it for her.
