Those flowers were made from gumpaste so they were not edible. As for cutting the cake, the bride and groom posed for pictures making it look like they were cutting the cake, then the caterers took the cake to the kitchen and took flowers off and cut it for them.

Thank you everyone for all of you compliments and kind words :)

This was the first wedding cake that I have ever made like this. I usually have more traditional styles requested. That being said, it was a fun cake to make, and a good new challenge :)

BEAUTIFUL!! I used to decorate cakes - I quit to do other things (quilting)...you've done a GREAT job!!!!

I have not done very much lately as I am busy with the kids...have 2 1/2 y.o twins and a 6 month old.

And I must admit it is so much easier to quilt than to bake and decorate cakes with them :)
