My mother, who suffers from mid-stage dementia, has been singing General Larry Platt's famous song.

It's called, "Pants on the Ground."
I kid you not.

Last time I try to amuse her with youtube videos.

Before that it was the JG Wentworth song. She can't remember her own phone number, but she can sing that one. Can't write a check but she sings about structured annuities. It's hysterical. ;) ;)

LOL...I don't have a problem with this one, but my sons do. Along with anyone who is about 30 and under. ;) This is the song that never ends...it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it not knowing where it ends....

It is from Shari Lewis' Lamb Chop show. ;) All I have to do is ask someone of that age the words to "the song that never ends" and they start laughing and all...saying Thanks alot...now it will be stuck in my head for days. :)

"Mama, just killed a man, put a gun against his head, pulled the trigger, now he's dead. And Mama life had just begun and now I've gone and thrown it all away..." Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Don't ask why, couldn't tell you except I have always wondered about the creative process song writers go through and how they come up with the lyrics and melody --- just astounds me!

It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all

After a visit to Disneyland that stayed in my mind for YEARS and years. Every time someone remarked on something large or SMALL, that darn song would flip back into my mind and that's all I could hear there..it's a small world after all. It's a small world

On a recent search of the web for "Things I remember from when I was a child" that came about from telling my kids stories. The song Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport. Here's the link, but unless you want to sing it for a month of sundays I wouldn't click it ,lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D-LmRNdQiQ and the LP record of The Elephants Child by Rudyard Kipling, scratches and all. I love the story, it kinda sticks in your head too. On the banks of the great grey-green greasy Limpopo River , all set about with fever trees....
To late for me, I'm singing it again........
Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down
Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down
