In VA where until today we've had temps between 85 and 95 so far most days, I keep the thermostat on 77 if I'm quiet/on the computer/reading/napping, and on 75 or 76 if I'm doing some light housework or the iron is on. I keep a little fan blowing on me when I sew or sleep so I can keep the AC on higher settings.

My little 200 year old cottage isn't well insulated and I'm often too warm in summer, too cold in winter. After three years here I'm learning to adjust.

No air, just fans. I hate air conditioning, I get very crabby & depressed when I am in air conditioning. It is not only the cold that makes me want to curl up and go to sleep, but having all the doors and windows closed. This does not bother me as much in the winter but in the summer I want doors & windows open. I know I am crazy but that is me.

I keep it set at 76, but at night that is just too cold and often will turn it off.
I don't mind the heat, but the humidity just makes me not breath.

Now in the winter. I want it warm! It is set at 72, but I like it higher, I just don't like the higher bill :( So its warm clothes in the winter. I hate being cold.
I don't understand why I pray for heat all winter long, just to hit the summer and get stuck in freezing Air conditioning everywhere I go!!
