This year my favorite part of Thanksgiving will be seeing and playing with my 2 year old grandson. He is a four hours away and any visit with him is a treat that just makes my heart feel like it will burst.

(Oh......I also like seeing my daughter, son-in-law, son and and daughter -in-law, too  )

Next to that, my favorite part is probably when the work of the big meal is done and everyone can relax (and try to forget all the calories that have just been consumed)

Having my house back to myself after a day of wall to wall family. :D

My one and only granddaughter loves Black Friday and wants me to to go every year with her. That's my most anticipated favorite part, spending time with her.

We always go to San Francisco on Friday and spend one or two nights there. We go to the tree lighting, stay in a hotel and kick around the city. We have been doing this since Sophia was born (she's now 11). My husband used to travel in his work (now unemployed) so we had lots and lots of free hotel points, so it costs us very little. Tonight we will spend Fri and Sat night there. It's going to be a blast!

We always have Thanksgiving dinner at hubby's sister's house -- hurray!! -- I bring a dish to share. She loves to cook and is good at it!! And when I get enough of the screaming kids and quarrelsome adults, we go home :D Lest you think I'm not a grateful guest, I'm on dishwasher duty just about the whole time we're there! If she can cook, I can clean up for her!! :D :D

Pumpkin Pie! It is the only time I get it. I should make myself one but I never have. My mom and my daughter both make them. Love it!

4 day weekend????? I'll be working a 7 day stretch! Wed thru Tue. Then I have 3 days off. So we are not doing any traditional Thanksgiving this year food or activities. In fact I normally put up the Christmas tree on T-Day, but this year ---- I just finished putting it up a bit early. House is also already decorated for Christmas. Now I'm going to go quilt and sew more gifts.
