Installation/Repair tech for Verizon. Climbed poles, ran wires from house to pole, installed and repaired inside wire, phone jacks. Repaired telephones back in the earlier days. Retired from Verizon and started my own business in elder care. We wanted to keep the elderly as independent as long as possible. Some home care and lots of transportation to appts. etc. Also taking them to family reunions, weddings, funerals, concerts, shopping and staying with them so they could attend events that they would have other wise missed due to lack of transportation or someone to be with them. Retired from that business and now do elder care part time and quilt !!

Wow, this has been great reading! My favorite and last job
was designing monuments. There were days when I was crying
with the customers but very very rewarding and creative job.
Everything from bullriders to quilts, and one guy couldn't think of anything to put on his wifes side so he finally decided on a frying pan!

I am a classical musician. I have contracts with four orchestras. I also work occasionally as a recording musician for movies and TV. At times I work as a sideline musician which is where I work as an actor on TV shows. The latest show I was on was The Mentalist.

I am the non-working wife of a physician. My grandmother was a big quilter and when she died each of her grandchildren received several of her quilts. I guess I inherited my love of quilting from her.

Have worked as a cna,lpn or rn for 45 years 35 of those years was a nurse(both lpn and rn) in the nicu and the well baby nursery. Was very rewarding and now retired and happy doing what I like best; being with husband, sewing and quilting and gardening

My quilting buddy - who is on this board, but not very often - is a quilting elementary school librarian.
