Wow! So many different occupations.
I worked at a bank fresh out of high school, encoding those little numbers on the bottom of your checks (Micker picker). Then got married and raised a family before returning to work as a Dental Assistant/office manager/do anything necessary in a one person dental office, then on to a larger dental office for nearly 20 years before leaving to take care of grandchildren and spend more time with hubby who had been diagnosed with cancer. Then I worked at Joanns for a while. Now I just enjoy quilting and playing with the long arm.

Believe me, you've worked! And at the same time you're a quilter. And as stitchinwitch said, "You're a domestic goddess."

WOW - Isn't it wonderful how many careers are represented here, & we all come together because of the love of quilting. Whoever said quilting was 'dull', sure never really knew one.

In the 60's when I suddenly had to support 3 kids (before child support, welfare, food stamps, etc., etc.,) I was a 'change girl' in a Las Vegas casino for a short time before becoming a police woman, then deputy sheriff. Eventually got into administrative work & when I stopped working full time at age 70, I was the company presidents secretary. Then worked part time till 75 & now just enjoy all my grand kids, great grand kids & great-great grand kids. I am blessed.
