I home schooled my son for two years. It sure was worth it too. After that I was a special education teacher for the Severe and Profound K-12. Also worked as a Resource English Teacher for 2 years, and at the Alternative School for 1 year for court ordered students teaching all subjects including art. I worked one summer as a volunteer at a local men's prison teaching reading. I am now retired.

I've been an office manager in the UK IRS, also used to audit the offices themselves lol, had a stint at computer programming, owned wedding dress business where I designed n made dresses to order. Raised two boys, umpteen dogs and not very successfully trained a husband 😀. I still work for IR albeit 3 mornings a week, help look after my granddaughter and care for my dad, and quilt and sew as often as I can.

I don't know if i responded to this thread or not.
I sold gold, diamonds and fine gems for a total of 20 yrs. . Also drove a school bus, but had to quit due to a work related injury.
Then for 5 yrs, I embroidered caskets and engraved them. The most rewarding job of my life. I loved it. It was so good to be able to help people in their time of need, and to have fun doing it too.
I'm now fully disabled and am enjoying my time off after working 2-4 jobs at a time. Lots of time for sewing, quilting and embroidering...by hand and machine.
