    I was 49...and the spousal unit, bless his heart, woke me up on my 50th birthday with, "WOOHOO Baby!! AARP DISCOUNTS!! Happy birthday!" The brat was only 39 himself at the time and didn't qualify...still doesn't! :lol:

    I think that I got one about a year ago. I started to fill it out - with the correct information to see if they would approve it without really checking the information and/or just to get a rejection notice from them.

    Maybe I will do that if I get another one. :P

    I was in my 40's. What is funny, is that, on the same day I will get an AARP advertisement, and a Gerber Life Insurance (for my new baby LOL) mailing too. These marketeers really do their homework :roll:

    I got mine at 19. I was in a debate/speech class in collage talking about being against mandatory retirement at age 65. Someone out in the hallway was listening & after class gave me an application. Didn't have the heart to send it in!
