I always buy more. I never know if I run short and that particular fabric is no longer available I would be crying big tears!! If I have a lot left over, I just piece my backing with the leftovers.

I always buy more in case I make a mistake and it makes me feel more secure.

I usually shop from my stash because I love to buy fabric when I see ones i like. Even if I buy fabric for a specific quilt I have many times decided I don’t really want to do that one so it goes into my stash. I know I have way to much fabric in many people’s minds but I really enjoy it.

I'm with Silly Susan; if I really like it I'll get quite a bit more. But I'm with the rest a little more can't hurt - just in case.

I do always buy more and many times it has saved the quilt.

Always more. I find that most patterns I buy are for lap or a small quilt so I buy the pattern then figure what I need for a queen size or bed quilt.

if the pattern was one that showed how to cut those given measurements, i might buy what they suggested. but only then. if i cut differently than they would, I could run short!
