I can't find the post that was put on here earlier today about making flowers out of zippers. I didn't have any metal zippers so I tried it with the plastic kind. I can see why the metal ones with the cotton sides is best. These plastic ones are hard to work with. I made this small rose from half of an 18" zipper. It is cute, but I am going to look for some of the metal teeth kind!

Both style zippers make wonderful roses--but each look a little different!!
It may have been more work, but it is very pretty!

Check the thrift shops for zippers, the are about .25 each! Awesome score! And I think your rose turned out very pretty!

I think the plastic zips are stiffer than the metal ones, but your rose turned out beautiful! I recently got a bunch of zips from a friend on another MB (486 zips for $10-all sizes and colors!) and I can see some neat flowers in my future!
