I enjoy seeing the world wide presence of the members of this board...what I wonder is why some of us do not say where in the world we are, but just put in some clever thing. Share why you would not put your real location in instead of some virtual thing.

I am participating in the secret santa swap and will post my location once it is done.

Also we had a year long swap(?) going on Secret Quilt Angel so some didn't want their person to know who they were receiving from :lol:

I am FROM Milton, WV, have lived in CA for over half a life time but when someone says "home", then my mind goes back to lovely, green West Virginia.

I'm "from" five miles from where I currently live. And that's in Illinois. Some people don't post and should NEVER post a town, address, etc because this is an open forum. ANYONE from ANYWHERE on the internet can get on here and read information. EXCEPT for what's posted in PM's---then only Admin can.

I am from good old rural Southern Ontario. Major shopping areas are all at least 35 km away but the urban areas are drawing closer every year. We can see the glow in the sky at night from Barrie to the east and Toronto to the south east.
