The woman that showed me how to make these made a large bowl about that size of the one you show. I think the trick is to keep angling that side of the bowl as much as you can while doing the sides so that it continues to angle upwards instead of getting looser. The first one I made I ended up getting the seam ripper after the sides because I wasn't satisfied with how it was angling.
