White Waffle Cloth
I'm making some towels and dish cloths for gifts. I've washed the cotton for the backing, and am wondering if I should wash the waffle cloth also. Have never worked with it, but want to avoid shrinking after it is washed. Thanks Maureen

why are you backing the waffle cloth with cotton? I have been thinking of making dish towels, but would not thought of doing this.

I definitely would wash the waffle cloth because if it is all cotton it will probably shrink quite a bit due to the structure of the weave. Thanks for the link. After looking I think I would quilt a simple X through them after completed to keep the layers together. Another improvement would be to put a doubled twill tape in the top middle between the layers for hanging. That would have to be inside the sandwich on the right side before turning if you know what I mean.
