I would have to say mine is Anna, the chef. I identify with her on so many levels. I'm glad that she was written as a normal person and someone who is capable of having a romance. It's nice to see plus-sized characters portrayed realistically instead of like the stereotypical "fat girl."

    Who is your favorite?

I love all the Elm Creek characters and identify a little with each one. The only book I haven't read is The Quilter's Kitchen so I don't know much about Anna yet but I ordered it last week. My favorite Elm Creek book so far was The Lost Quilter.

The Quilter's Kitchen is really good, although it doesn't talk too much about Anna. It's more about Sylvia and her family.

I love them all. I haven' gotten any for a while. Does any one have a list that list them in the order they should read? If you could share, I would appreciate it.

I love these books and read them in whatever order I pick them up off the shelf that day! I also like so many of the characters. I love Agnes, she appears so sweet but there is an iron core to her! I love how as Jennifer has written more books, we've gotten to see more characters develop. I was happy to learn more about Bonnie in the Aloha Quilt.

I've just started the series too. My little librarian said she would order them as I got to them...I've read the 1st 3 now...so having to wait for her order to come in. I like how Jennifer develops the characters though and I can't wait to meet more of them!

I have loved reading about Sylvias life, and glad she got married again. Can't wait for Sarah to have her babies.

You know, Jennifer had a contest on Facebook. If you wanted her twins to be girl/girl then you send in a pink quilt block, if you want them to be boy/boy then you send in a blue block, and if you want boy/girl then you send in a purple one. She said she'd donate all the blocks to Project Linus and the choice that got the most votes will be what the twins are. I think the contest ended though...

I'm only on the New Years Quilt book. I love all the characters but Sylvia has had quite the life experiences. I enjoyed the Quilters Homecoming with Elizebeth that I just got done reading. They've all been great books. I'm trying to catch up beings I didn't read any all summer. We have a small library here that has the whole series. Thankfully I'm the only one reading them so I know they are all there when I'm ready for them. Someone posted the other day a pattern they did out of one of the books. Can't wait to get to that. Its beautifal.
Even though I didn't know Sara was going to have babies I wish I would have gotten in on the the different color blocks to send in.
I wonder which gender won that. ;)
Have fun reading. Jennifer is an awesome author I hope she continues.

I love them all....Two years ago I got to hear her do a reading and see some of her quilts at the East Bay Heritage Quilters Show in Oakland, California. She is really delightful. I have registered on her site, but have to re-register frequently to stay on. So, far I seem to be about four books behind. Hopefully Santa will bring me some....

I was able to register but honestly, there isn't anything on there that she doesn't post on her Facebook page.

I think Anna is my favorite, too. I have not read all the books yet, though. She just seems the most real and I really sympathize with her crush on whats-his-name (Jeremy?). Because I was totally in that position in college, only it didn't turn out as happily.

Also, I like cooking, and I love the descriptions of the food she cooks.

I wish I could find quilt block cookie cutters like she uses!
