What are those horse-shoe shaped things for?
They're multi-purpose pillows. They help the mom support the preggo belly at the end of the pregnancy so she can sleep on her side, they help hold the baby as the mom nurses and they help the baby as they're learning to sit up.

If you can't tell, their theme was pink camo and owls, lol. There are, in order:
1.) Knitted Afghan
2.) Boppy Covers
3.) Changing table mat covers
4.) Newborn crochet booties
5.) Fleece pillows
6.) Fleece quilt
7.) Critter blanket (both of her parents are avid hunters)
8.) Hooded blanket
9.) Hoot 'N' Annie stuffies
10.) Owl rag quilt
11.) Placemats (the wings hold napkins and silverware-the pink camo are for Keira)
12.) Toddler knit booties
13.) Knitted hat
14.) Appliqued onesies.
15.) An owl quilt
16.) An owl ball that rattles and plays "It's A Small World"
17.) A block with an appliqued owl that rattles
18.) An owl stuffie that plays "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"
19.) A Pink Ribbon mini blanket with owl stuffie attached
20.) A Pink Ribbon quilt for her first BC Walk (her grammie is a survivor who is currently battling a recurrence)
21.) A waterproof PUL bag for the diaper bag
22.) Washable, waterproof PUL bibs
23.) Self binding receiving blankets
24.) Purple placemats (the wings hold napkins and silverware-the pink camo are for another niece)
25.) A specialty bib as a gag. My DB loves this snack, but my DSIL thinks it's gross, lol.
26.) A stroller bag, specially fit for umbrella strollers and compartmentalized to hold coffee mugs snugly.
27.) A tag blanket to cuddle with
28.) Corn bags in owl shapes (1 for the freezer and one for the microwave) in two sizes and one for mom and dad.
29.) A set of three Super Nine Patch quilts
30.) A second critter blanket for DH's cousin's new baby.

Great gifts for a baby! I wonder if there will be room for the baby in her room after she gets them all! Yes, we can tell you're excited.

One suggestion - get some of that PUL fabric and make her a 'changing' blanket that Mom and Dad can keep in the car and use when they are out. I made one for my now 7 months old grandson when he was born. All I did was back it with fleece, birthed it and did some minimal quilting. Both Mom and Dad love having it handy, and DGS likes to look at the PUL side (little monsters) while falling asleep.

It's machine washable, so I'm confident that his parents know to only use it after it's been washed. I hope.

They already have one. Apparently I wasn't the only one supplying baby gifts, lol. My DSIL's cousin had a baby a while back and passed a lot of things onto them, so I was left with a list of things they didn't have. Great suggestion, though!

The horse shoe shaped pillows are for the baby while mom is nursing... helps support them.. or you can just use them to help support the baby while they are learning to sit up..
new moms love them...
hugs
