Being in Arizona, after growing up in England, the spring flowers are one of the things I miss most, so thanks for posting.

I am in z7 and the Hellebore love cold weather.I have one that looks like a pot plant.....i grow them in semi shade on slopes,i have a circle drive in massive bloom.Hellebore are care free,reseed easy.The deer hate them because they dont taste good........cant beat that...I think thy are hardy down to z4....

I think I read somewhere that they prefer alkaline rather than acid soil... do you know anything about that?

(We only have acid here...)
